Yet again an MOT pass!
« on: 19 May 2009, 15:47:31 »

Another pass, and no advisories again for the TD estate.
Third year of ownership and passed all times, no problem.
Was worried about the emissions, as it's been chipped but no everthing ok.

Big thanks go to Elite Pete & Loo-Knee for their work yesterday on the front brakes, without new discs & pads I'm sure it would have failed on these. The discs were absolutely gone, worse they have seen.

See you soon guys, when the parts arrive.

Mick

Good work on getting it through with he chip in, mine always manages to fail on the smoke test! Did you do any prep... ie. Diesel Magic?

Nope, just went the long way round down the dual carraigeway, for a quick blast to clear the cobwebs away. The car's been stood for a few days. I have in the past put Redx diesel treatment in, but I think it's a waste of money now so don't bother.

chipped td should always pass the emissions test!! ony reason it wont is if the car has been used on a lot of short runs and the exhaust is full of soot!! good run at hgh revs is the beast thing for them just before the test, used to be called the Italian tune up!!! :y
