For the amount of money you would spend on an LCD that can provide CRT like near fluid motion, you might as well get LED.

I saw a 46" Sammy LED set last week, and it made LCD & Plasma's look like John Logie Baird's first efforts to transmit a television picture.

Price tag was right too, £1500 inc.

Full on LED from what I read of the specs Martin.

It was the Samsung UE46B7020WWXXU (Series 7).

No definately an LCD panel with LED backlights, some advantages and some disadvantages compared to CFL.

BTW Samsung and Sony have a shared panel line and the 40" and 46" TVs will have the same panel, but different electronics, backlight ect

Ive Got The Sony KDL W4000 LCD with a PS3 on it works very well!

whats the difference between the 45 & 4000 martin?

i got my TV through sainsburys by redeaming £200's worth of nectra vouchers against it :D an £800 tv for £600 very good i thought considering it had a Sony 5yr extended warrenty in the box aswell
