The repair company who had repeatedly said they could find no faults with it previously then conceeded they couldn't fix it...

Oh, as a sideline, do NOT put a mobile phone in the microwave.  I'm guessing its because frequencies are similar.  Apparently ::)

Probably, as its a convection oven and grill as well and has functions on it, that cheap microwaves havent got  :y

True.  She caught me (mis)using her posh microwave a few months back, and went berserk. Esp as we also have a cheap £20 one as well for her fabric dying....

I've only ever owned 2 microwaves. The first i paid a tenner for & used it for years till the plastic in the door bubbled through age, the 2nd i was given years ago & still use now. £25 in tesco still seems alot of money!!! 8-)
