04 plate....is rare....but as TB says prolly low spec.....plus its got one of those silly gearboxes fitted  ;D

It does have an extra pedal though, dunno what it does though...  ::)

If it was an estate I would give it serious consideration.....

Just as a matter of interest, how well do the V6 engines last? 130k mileage might put me off....

Well maintained, and regular maintenence (not the book 20k oil changes!) and they do good mileage.  I don't think they ever get scrapped due to engine hassles, unless the cambelt lets go...

Thanks for the reply TB - I'm just trying to pickup useful info before I commit to buying something later in the year - Unless something really nice came up sooner of course!  ;) I wouldn't hold off purchasing if the right car came along - It would be a shame to miss it!

As TB says, properly serviced, the engines should last a long time. Mine is a high mileage unit, but as a well maintained ex police car, it runs very smooth.

Whichever way you look at it though, it's gone above the price I would pay with 134K on the clock.

Really? Even for a 2004 car? I thought it sounded pretty good - Apart from the fact that I'm after an estate not a saloon.

It doesn't actually have the same spec as a real MV6. I know, because mine is an ex-police MV6, and apart from the motor, it's really basic. Mind you, that 3.2 is a pleasure to drive  ;)

I wish I could find the details of the dealer in Cardiff from whom I bought mine (TC Autos?), he had another 4 delivered the same day, and they were a damm sight cheaper than this one.

Apart from starting and stopping, you don't need to use the clutch, you can change gear, up and down, without using the clutch on most manual boxes.
