Heartbeat
« on: 30 May 2009, 23:15:47 »

Heartbeat is currently set in about 1969.
Police Rover P6 is 'G' reg 1968/9 and I have seen a Mk1 Escort, 'H' reg in the garage.

Alf Ventress has been in it, and has used the same Austin 1300 throughout the series. That car is now for sale, and was registered in 1974. They must have changed the number plate as they did with the Anglia Police 'Panda' Car.......... ::) ::)

Indeed Mike, and steam engines are still pulling the trains, which ceased in terms of BR schedules services in 1968.  I even noticed a "Southern" engine, 4-6-0 S15 825 the other Sunday. :D :D :D

Obviously the railway scenes are filmed on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, so I think poetic licence is now being used! 8-) 8-) 8-)
