You may be interested in a e-mail I have received from 10 Downing street, as others have been sent who signed the VED petition asking for the Government plans to be reconsidered.

Usual combination of "You misunderstood what Nanny State told you" and "Nanny state knows what's best for you". >:(

I'm surprised they haven't got better things to do than write cut and paste drivel like that. ;)

So they responded with a load of bull shite because tehy think that 'piss off' would offend.

I actually think the e-petition site is absolutely pointless.....its a petition to change thins and the government treat it as a qandA site!

The Petition said sort this stupid taxation out and they responded telling you how to work out your car tax bracket and annual cost!

How about setting up a petition to get the government to action the petitions on the petition site

Good idea. Need to find somewhere else to post it as they ignore anything on the petition site. Perhaps I'll try that little box in the village hall next time it's there...
