Yesterday - with very little notice, TheBoy agreed to Tech2 my Meega for airbag light reset and to code my new screen and head unit to my car.
 
He persisted and persisted until - by magic, it all works a treat.  No longer do I have 'Opel' on my screen; no longer is it all in German; no longer does it say, "radio safe" and "screen safe" with the annoying beep every five seconds.
 
The GPS now works and the airbag light has gone out.
 
Now I have absolutely no doubt that Vauxhall would have charged at least £150 and I am even more certain that they would have failed to get my radio/sat nav working.  So huge thanks to TheBoy for..
 
1) Being more than reasonable in his charge,
2) Showing total patience at my ineptitude while swapping my colour screen
3) Producing the goods even when it looked hopeless.
 
I did thank him last night, but he would not have seen the wide beaming smile on my face as I was driving home with all my toys now working.  Thanks again!  He's very much recommended!!

Thankyou for those kind words.  My apologies it took so long and made a mess of your evening.  I reckon you need to take out the extra patient Mrs Edwardmickey for a nice valentine meal for tolerating us ;)
