Have not read the link but must point out that

Hartlepool is NOT in the county of Durham....... Thumbs Up! just don't mention 'Monkeys' if you ever visit.

I copied and pasted that bit (  :-[ ). I bow to your superior knowledge of the area. My geographical knowledge gets hazy just North of Milton Keynes.  :P ;)

Monkeys?  :-? :-?

this might shed some light on the infamous "monkey trial" - hence the term "monkey-hangers" as an insult to the good people of Hartlepool - Nickbat - apparently true story  :y

Did you see him this morning Lance on the BBC's Andrew Marr programme this morning?  Talk about an animal in a trap fighting for it's, and Gordon Brown's life!  Even disputed / strongly argued with Andrew Marr (insults included) that MP's, especially the female ones, had left the Cabinet due to GB's style and content of leadership :o :o :o

Mandelson's certainly nailed his flag to the mast! ::) ::) ::)

Diane Abbott nailed it when she said - if you're only friend when you wake up in the morning is Peter Mandelson - then you're in trouble  :o :o

he's a slippery little snake Mandy - no conviction, just sides with whoever will give him power - wouldn't trust as far as i could throw him - was surprised Brown let him back in as they clearly hate each other.....maybe that old adage the enemy of my enemy is my friend holds true here - neither want tory rule  :y
