That's what we have at the moment, one second or less between the flashes & bangs. Tipping it down too.
I LOVE IT when it thunders :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) Makes me go all goose bumpy :D

I like storms too, been raining here most of the day, did bucket down earlier drizzle now.

Its dry here, had no thunder storms for a long time. Hope we get one soon.

we had a brief storm here earlier and it did come down as i got soaked when i got out the car

Elementary dear sir....

light travels at 300,000,000 m/s

So when you see the flash you may assume you detect it instantly

Sound travels at around 330 m/s

Given there are approx 1600m in a mile then it takes approx 5 seconds for sound to travel 1 mile....

Hence the 5 second rule!
