Hypothetically........
« on: 12 June 2009, 19:28:14 »

One day the Traktor will either expire on it's own account or something will happen that will not be economic to remedy
Given that I'm not allowed a van or anything that resembles a 'van with windows' i.e. an MPV, what else is there available with as much or more load capacity as an Omega Estate, preferably automatic, Diesel & post 2003?
I should like to be prepared for the inevitability!

V70 Volvo is a good bet huge load bay like an omega and the D5 model with autobox gives very good power and it's a nice box too.

Having had a Volvo XC70 T5 I can say that they're fast, comfortable and well appointed - however - they're too sophisticated for their own good and the likelihood of spending more than you intended for parts and servicing is worthy of consideration.

I would consider the Mondeo TDCI from around '05 onwards, if you don't mind front drive of course.

Why can't you have an MPV, space, comfort, economical and reliable, how can you argue with that, well, may be a bit boring......... :D :D :D

SWMBO will not allow it 'does not want a van with windows' parked on the drive
I had 2 Volvos V70s before the Omega & they have a smaller carrying capacity so they are ruled out

Yes the Mondeo is a possibility but not the Volvo - too small

Being French they were either loved or hated in equal proportion but being so derived, you get a lot of car for the money, the following links might help;

Still think the Mondeo is the one to go for, PF
