If you're looking for something like that, then that is a no-brainer. Even if you only get 12 months out of it, you'll have had your money's worth. I'd definately go for it.

It's for a 17 year old to learn to drive in, so the 'New clutch' attracted my attention specifically..... ::) ::)

For that sort of money it has to be worth a shot --- and TBH it's not a bad car to learn in and won't ruin the learner's street cred !!

Well it is now sitting on my drive, went to have a look ad got the seller to deliver it for me.
It is tidy, he did not know I was going and it started first time. Door check needs some attention, noisy, a small bit of rust, under the surface on leading edge of passenger door and a wheel trim missing.  He was wanting £600 and I got it for £400 delivered.

Just got to sort some insurance, under £600 with a named 17 year old learner, so not too bad.

I will get it insured tomorrow and get him out, nice quiet spot to learn clutch control and then on from there.........

Will give the car a good check up and make sure the handbrake is spot on. We have some good roads for starting on round here. He has had a scooter for a year and off road bike before that, so he has an understanding of the road and traffic.  :y
