Few small jobbies done
« on: 21 June 2009, 17:31:48 »

I was hoping to assist Martin sort out his 1-3-5 head gasket today, but unfortunately I'm not yet up to heavy work, blasted mumps  :'(

So I did a few smaller jobs on the Dual Fuel Ashtray.

1) Compression test. Pleased with the result - almost bang on 13 bar on each cylinder.

2) Fit some LPG recommended spark plugs

3) Remove throttle body, clean out with carb cleaner.

4) Fix awful vacc connection to evaporator (I reckon that will explain why it's not so lively on gas)

5) Replace oil and filter (old stuff yuck!)

6) Code read (nothing stored)

Oh - and a quick engine bay clean.

I should add - my limbs feel like they're falling off just after that little lot - I had no idea it'd take it out of me for this long!

I have the perfect cure for bad backs:

Dont do anything that involves lifting heavy things, bending for long periods or working in the cold and damp. If you follow my advice it is unlikely you will get a bad back in the first place :y

Pete may have trouble with the 'no bending down' while Daz is about :o
