We spent millions (money and lives) trying to keep the Nazis out of Europe in the 2nd World War. It didn't really work.

Lets spend a few more millions and send a few to Europe now. Certain irony to it don't you think!

you reap what you sow.

I honestly don't think we will all agree on this type of subject. Could I polilely suggest we say no more on the bnp.

Either for or against

I do not want to preach, but think it could lead to bad feelings amongst some of us.

... probably not, 'cos Membership of the NBPA is open to all in policing on application.

There is no bar to membership based on colour.

K

Sorry to disagree, but there is, The name alone is the bar to joining. Just because it does not say there is any bar on the application form does not mean it is open to all.

Also imagine the outcry if we had the "White Police Officers Association"  :(

Fair point on the white police officers comment, however, as to the name of the association being a bar to non blacks joining -- what's in a name?  I take it -- extrapolating your arguement, that non omega owners are barred from this forum ?????  Didn't think so!

It's not in the name -- it's in the BNP rule book !!!!!

Yes, owners of bmw's with no indicators fitted should not be allowed to darken our door way.  ;D ;D ;D

Sorry only joking.

Have you heared the one about the un-obnoxious, polite, clear indicating, courteous BMW driver ?

No, neither have I.    ::) :D

well thats the danger, not sure i feel comfortable to keep bumping it up tbh. But ultimately, is there any difference, ill feeling or hatred is just that. The cause becomes secondary at that point perhaps? Should i/we/you hate an individual because of a political view? Is that any more or less acceptable to hate through race/skin colour/religon? If we cant discuss these things, what does that say?

We are entitled to viewpoints....should we not discuss them?

Interesting points, Chris. I read a fascinating article on this subject a week or so ago. It really got me thinking. I urge you to read it.

You read too much Mr Bat! :-)

Not one comment on shooting guards in a museum.Strange.

But yes, everyones "line" is drawn in a different place. But the only line that counts consistently is the legal one. Hence the title of this thread....No?

....from the human rights commission.

constitution and membership criteria may discriminate on the grounds of race and colour, contrary to the race relations act.

In particular, only certain ethnic groups, and those of white skin colour may apply for membership.

The commission says the party may be, or may have been acting illegaly.

Sorry to bring this subject up again. But it is important.

It is very important, but how does it help ?  I shared an office with a fully paid up member of the BNP (in Burnley) for 5 months in 2001, and quite frankly there's no reasoning with a racist.

Nah Bertie, I think it's directed nowadays at the arrogant, bling-blinged, large wheeled, M3 lookalike, steroid assisted drivers, with the close haircut and the vest tops. The ones you see driving and yapping away on a hand held mobiles, pretending to be setting up some dodgy deal when really they're just asking mum what time tea is gonna be ready.

Not sure, personally find it interesting, to understand the process that brings a person to justify(to themselves or whoever)a position such as this, apparantly flying in the face of history, the law(alledgedly), the vast majority going by election results. Defending the indefenceable it would seem.

Did anyone see the repeat of "BNP Wives" on Sky the other night?
Most of us are aware that the thick f**kers end up on shows like Jeremy Kyle, but these people gave the word thick a whole new meaning.
In fact they are so thick I reckon they wouldn't make the grade for Kyle's show.

It's on Google video at http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-6145793487676011977
