Maximum Range?
« on: 18 February 2007, 19:16:40 »

Just wondered what the highest range your Omega's trip computer has told you, you have?

Travelling back from France, (and clearly driving like a Nun) I filled up with Petrol and my range got as high as 538 miles!! Wish i actually could get that out of a tank!!

doing short school runs in the frost just now - and averging 15mpg - usually only stick £20 in at a time - and that gives a range of about 100 - 110  :o

Well, I put £25 in my new project car yesterday. Got 182 miles and still have £24 left!

Mind you, it spend 176 miles of that on the back of a recovery truck! ;D

Still, its the thought that counts. Or so I thought. Does that count? :-?

The most I have ever seen on mine was the round figure of 500 miles, and that was at a motorway services following a long and docile journey. This was never repeated however. The worst I've seen was 280 following slow city driving. It will usually show 350-450 miles, depending on where it was driven before the fill-up. It's a 2.6 auto.

None of you even come close......

.....

I had a 2.5 V6 Omega CDX AUTO, and sod the fuel computer, I filled it to the top, and drove it until it cut out.

Mileage?

601.

Nearly all motorway, at 52mph.

No joke.

As long as it's in the inside lane, and faster moving traffic can pass, then yes ;D
