Just to let you all know that I am deleting my membership from oof. I have enjoyed my time here over the past year. The witty comments I can except but the digging and the snide comments that have been said in the last couple of hours I will not tolerate. Members on here surely know how to make members delete there account.

P.s Admin can you lock this thread as the snide comments will surely come about.

Just been catching up and not seen/recognised any "snide" comments

I have seen a sensible but hard hitting debate on which there are, as in any debate, 2 sides. It would appear that your views .. to which you are entitled of course... are in the minority.

That does NOT make others views "snide".

All I'll say is that I placed this self explanatory post in the "Goodbye All" thread:

"I had been busy trying to delete my account with that other forum, but could only succeed in changing my name.

However I have just received an e-mail stating that my account has been deleted, and I cannot contact the admins to find out why!

So much for democracy and the right to publish freely your feelings!

I obviously scared them, and 'them' obviously have somebody feeding back information from this site! Amazing!

These forums are only for fun, but looks like somebody has decided that certain people are foes!

Make up your own mind, and I have noted that another member on this site has had his membership deleted on the other forum before he got confirmation of his account being activated on that other forum!

ive used manys a forum but i have never come across one where people are so "thin" skinned!!!

come on people, grow up and get over it!!

Some members on here that I have met are great people, but when it's a case of starting a new forum for one reason or another then start getting snide comments about it enough is enough. Why do people just join another forum have a look then report back on here and say how crap it is. If you don't like it then you shouldn't have signed up. You have been told whats it's like but you still sign up and make the comments (you know who you are). The site has been up and running for just over a month, as the saying goes, 'Rome wasn't built in a day' these things take time.
I don't see anyone slagging off the other forums, which incedently have a similar layout, but you don't bad mouth them off do you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excatly my point, Trouble is they don't want to instead they would rather make snide comments about it.

...........and why not Nick? Are we not allowed to "try before we buy"? :-/ :-/ :-/ It would be a sad day if any retail premises banned you for expressing opinions of their service or overall offer after an intitial visit.

As I said above .... a hard hitting debate .. but don't get melodramatic .. I see no "slagging off" to use your vernacular ... only differing views.

I wonder if these 2 sudden postings of "I'm off" are intended to "advertise" the other site if some odd manner. You could quite easliy have just left saying nothing.

I've said before, I wish you all the best with your venture. My issue is that you have undoubtly copied this site, which is unacceptable in my view. Make your new site your own work is all I would ask, rather than trying to build something out of the hard work put in on this site.

I have no wish to fall out with anyone, particularly you.

if you ask me all this is very chidish i thought this site was for grown ups not little kids. This is why i dont bother with this site much anymore.
