and been diagagenosed with type 2 diabetes :(Yeah I know its not the end of the world and will have to make some serouis changes to me diet,chocolate intake will have to be drastically curtailed thas for sure

However, it is a condition that if you obey the rules of treatment it can be controlled, although of course it will never go away!!

thx for your advice lizzie,luckily or not so lucky both my parents suffer from it as well, so it looks like the "handed down in the genes" syndrome .And with a bit of luck it might help me shift some off the excess pounds ive accumalated over the last 20 years  me drs put me on metaformin

dont worry , you will eat less but more frequently..

and bitter chocolate is ok..

Sorry to put a mocker on it but that treatment, plus all diabetic treatments tend to put weight ON, which my doctor constantly apologizes for, but that is one of the side effects!

No Cem I'm afraid, and this is not me this is my doctor talking, that the medication has a habit of puting weight on faster than you can take it off, although of course we do try to reverse that trend!!  

I am on insulin now and it is still a constant battle as it was on the tablets .
