Somehow Car Crime Uk hasn't quite got the edginess of road wars. Could it be that Sir Trevor Macdonald doesn't do it for me?

Yes I just watched that on ITV1 - it wasn't that great....

Although since Road Wars started covering Devon and Cornwall it has really got dull - in my opinion, it was better when Pat and Carl were on it.

Somehow Car Crime Uk hasn't quite got the edginess of road wars. Could it be that Sir Trevor Macdonald doesn't do it for me?

Road Wars was quite 'Raw' in how it portrayed the police doing their duty, so many more Police reality programmes, squeaky clean, understandably and, or, are we just getting bored with them :-/

What gets on my tits is when the likes of Alastair Stewart start banging the old "speed kills" drum.
Ignoring the fact that speed itself doesn't kill, I'm hardly likely to listen to a twice convicted drink driver on the subject of road safety.

Redelitev6 I totally agree with you, where is the deterent? The toerags watch these programs, and shove two fingers up, even when they do actually get sent down it's a bloody holiday camp.
What is this half sentence crap all about? five years should mean five years, and hard time, behave for 12 months, and you get a radio. No games machines, satellite television etc, they need to come out and tell all there friends how bloody bad it is, not the benefits. DETERENT, if the prisons are full build more, why don't money grabbing politicians LISTEN. They can bail out the financial institutions, live a life of luxury with a great pensions on OUR MONEY, but fail to protect us from the ever increasing toerags.

I agree that it was a bit tame, but for me they often are as I have spent some time on patrol with the real thing on 999 calls;  now that is a great experience and especially when you encounter the technicalities of the case you are going to!!  :-*8-) 8-) 8-)

The beauty of Road Wars is that it folows one incident right through to the end, whilst CC UK does that annoying american TV thing of breaking of from one incident to start another before coming back to the first, often after an ad break, when they then repeat most of it as a catch up (or should I say as a time filler).

Fully agree with the Alastair Stewart comment - but he got some sh*t reporting jobs when he didn't have a licence!
