I have now read thread in question. Whilst some valid, debatable points were raised, the way in which they were debated is unacceptable.

People who make threats of violence via PM dont deserve to be on this forum.

I've just got a flavour of this thread from another member. If I were an admin (God help us), at the first sign of a threatening PM, that member would be an ex-member.

No exceptions. There is no walk of life where this behaviour is acceptable. Moreover there would be consequences from the law or an employer. Totally unacceptable, and clearly knew as much as it was done via pm. It has been mentioned previously that its not the first time either, and having read the original thread in question, appeared to be backed up by the op.....

As far as I can remember the unpleasantness was between two members who were posting on the thread.One of these members stated that the other one had threatened them with violence via PM.Imo the admins should read the PM concerned and if the accusation is true the member concerned should have their membership cancelled immediately,no ifs or buts.
The reason I was p1$$ed off this morning was that I had posted several of my long winded opinions which took my typing finger a very long time to type.
I have taken a few deep breaths and had a few hours kip since then and would like to say that although I still dont completely agree with the decision,I do fully support the admin team in what is sometimes a thankless task in running and moderating the forum.

Can everyone just take a moment or 2 to reread the forum guidelines (which should be considered rules).


Rather than go back over old arguments, lets wipe the slate clean from now.

Any further offensive or abusive posts on this forum, either or a thread or via PM will be met with the wrath of the Admin team, which may result in warnings, suspension or bans as whatever any Admin thinks is valid.

If anyone receives offensive or abusive PMs, please contact the online Admin who will look in to it.
