Am I missing something?

What's the reason for blurring out registration numbers when people post pictures on here? I'm sure there is one , but it seeems to me that thousands of people see it every day on the road anyway. What am I missing?

Personal choice and peace of mind.

So many people get thier number plates nicked and put them on the same make, model and colour of car and then go commit a crime like steal a tank full of petrol.

I personally prefer to keep such details as discreet as possible.  Plus on the other side of life I also destry all envelopes with my name and address on and make a point of doing the same regards any paper that goes in the bin.

Cant be too carefull these days. :y

Done it ever since my old Granada was cloned by another car.

Mmmm. Take your point, but it's much more likely someone would get a reg no off a car in the street than off here. I suppose you can't be too careful these days. Maybe I'm just too trusting.

I have had the Plates stolen off My Van in the past and it can be a real pain, more so if a crime is commited using your vehicle's id >:(
