just rebuilt the engine on a 2005 yamaha drag star with only 9500 miles on it . the big ends had cooked shell bearings were smashed and crank was in a bad way , after a regrind and new shells new main bearings full gasket set rebuilt engine it sounds as good as new . god nows what they done on this bike to do so much damage on the motor with so little miles , the owner is a happy chap today and so he should be he only paid £850 for the bike . just a little story for today :y

Sounds like it been neglected.  looking at the sort of bike it is it doesnt look the sort of bike you buy to thrap arround on, but I may well be wrong.

How the hell do you trash a pushrod 1600 cc V twin ,prevoius owner must be some kind of moron  :o :o

Dragstars (XVS) are available in 125, 250, 400, 650 and 1100 flavours.  Known as V-Star in th U.S

XV1600 is known as: Roadstar/Wildstar/Midnightstar/Silverado. Depends on spec and Europe/UK/Wherever

Fair point though, not the kind of motor that is thrashed. V-twins have torque low to mid. Nothing gained by thrashing them.
