Got everything working now, including full MS Exchange integration. (using a native app)

Must say its very nice to use, HTC Magic is well built phone too.

Apps i like:

My Tracks - GPS plotter, and overlays Google Maps. Taking the dogs for walks / taking motorbike out, can see where i went how far, and a million other stats.

ShopSavvy - Its a bar code reader, scan any product, it shows you reviews and where to get the cheapest  :y

WikiTude - Very cool app, points GPS positions though the view you se in the camera:



I find it much better than the iPhone, applications don't have to be approved by apple, so lots of interesting things out there, and allows for greater customization.

Widgets are a nice touch too.

150 txts 150 mins & unlimited internet :)

Cost me £260 to buy, but works out a lot cheaper than going for a 18 month contract.

Am surprised at that :y :y  I love gadgets but now use a 'phone so infrequently it would be lost on me :( :(

Is it robust? And does it have a reasonable keyboard input for 2-fingered wp?

Its very well made, very solid. Its also lighter than the iPhone as its screen is plastic rather than glass.

Only had it a couple of weeks so can't really make a full call on it, but its been put together well. Most HTC devices are built to last  :y

Its noticably smaller than the iPhone, they can't be much smaller for touch screen. Fingers too big!

I was meaning on-screen keyboard.  Is it large enough to use with fingers?

Yeah its fine, there are several out there. I installed the keyboard that comes with the HTC Hero, its a HTC designed one and its a lot better than the stock one.

Looks exceedingly gay...

And now having used one, it is gay!


Apple does have the more usable interface, more consistent, more obvious. But the Android one isn't bad.  Windows Mobile is lagging behind in this respect
