I agree ... However the important thing was that Nick and Ann got hitched --- there are only two important people at a union, the bride and groom ( plus, in this case, the kiddies). May they have a long and happy life together.

There was quite a list of people who put their names on the list  to go to the meet/wedding,seems a shame that with one exception they didnt turn up for whatever reason.
Still,hopefully the wedding went well,good luck for the future. :y

I've seen this happen on all the meets, people put their name down and then don't turn up which at any other time is their loss but when its someones wedding its out of order, especially if they haven't notified the organiser prior to the wedding :(

In my early days on the Forum I tried to arrange a meet, booking a venue and a specific date.  But although it looked initially as though a number would attend, many then had to drop out for various reasons.  I cancelled it all down, and apart from a few weaker moments when I have felt like arranging another meet or joining forces with others who want to, I have generally decided never to do it again!

Poor Nick communicated with me through PM's on this issue, and I did warn him of my experience and recommend perhaps he should think again.  But, full marks to him he persevered and thought he had enough assurances of attendance to go ahead.  I just hope his wedding was as they had dreamed, and that is what is really important not some car meet!

I could say a lot, but I do not want to stir it, so I will just Echo LSG fine words "it was damn out of order!!" >:( >:( :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X
