P0170 code constantly. I've changed the flexi as it was blowing, new exhaust CAT's back. Moved the front lambda down and still there. Most likely MAF but I haven't got the time. What with being on here (cause I'm a saddo, work and other commitments I've not had a minute to touch and just need the room now.

Hence me thinking it's the MAF now. It's starts and runs like a bag of sh1te when cold, if I unplug the maf it ticks over fine. But like I said I just need the room now, we've got room for 4 cars on the drive and 1 in the garage and there are 8 parked here much to my neighbours delight ;D ;D

You didn't want to relocate the front Lambda. That will cause it to throw code 0170. It's the rear lambda sensor that causes issues (mainly on 3.2s). It can't be anything major. Not worth scrapping a car for that IMHO.

I can soon put the lambda back it's got a threaded insert to close it off. I'm 99% certain now it's the MAF but I'm sick of the sight of it just sitting there.

My 2.2 had the same code constantly too.....but idled from cold ok tho.....i thought it was the lpg upsetting it....so never worried about it.....but maybe it was something else causing it.....as its last MOT i took it for....tested on petrol (no lpg in it, and always tested before on lpg and passing) it failed emissions......still got the ticket for it tho  ;) :-X

Lee,

In all seriousness, I know it might be a pain, and long slog to type out again, but maybe worth one last time writing what you've changed, and done to try to locate the problem, and see if anyone comes up with any fresh ideas, that hasn't been thought of before ?.

When I came over for you to try my MAF on your car, it still kicked up some codes relating to maf if I remember correctly ?.
Think you said you changed your lamba's didn't you, but to no avail.

I'm sure there's going to be a simple explaination, but like you said it's really too good to break up.

No expert I know, but it couldn't be whats known as the EGR valve playing up could it ?.

I think there's a 2.0 preface-lift estate in my local breakers, if it hasn't gone, do you want me to get the maf off that one ?.

Let me know
