Wonderfull LD, a great sight and something really worth waiting for!! :-* :-* :-* :-* 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

I am so pleased as well that you had a four year old in tow who now doubt was fascinated by what steamed through! :y :y :y :y :y :y

As someone who was introduced to steam railway locomotives at the age of 4, in 1957, at Tonbridge and was scared to death by two loco's either side of us lifting their safety valves, I will bet that your 4 year old will grow to love them and hopefully join the preservation movement one day 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)  That moment when my father cuddled me I will never forget, and the following first steps on the footplate encouraged by a (guilty?) driver and fireman I constantly recall with much fondness!  Seeing the Golden Arrow go through Tonbridge the following year (1958) and seeing a just wonderful train of fully lit Pullman carriages sealed my passion forever!  I expect your four year will recount their experience in many years time!! :-* :-* :-* :-* 8-) 8-)

Actually not my 4 year old (we haven't managed to have kids yet) but our nephew, who we spend a lot of time with :y :y :y

Only thing I found a bit disappointing was that it's one of the cleaner steamers so didn't have the lungful I was looking forward to ::) ::) ::)

Trains are not really my thing TBH but it doesn't stop me appreciating them :y :y :y
