Bus (and licensed) taxi drivers were nothing short of c**ts 25 years ago, are you suggesting they have found a new low?

Not all bus drivers are c***s ... just a few are ... unfortunetly they give the rest of us (who are not c***s ) a bad name .... the nature of the job and the tight running schedules imposed on us by the management makes for a very busy and stressful day for us all ... i can only apologise on behalf of the all the drivers who go out to do their job instead of going out of their way to piss people, like yourself, off
Pissing people like me off is one thing, but when they pull right out in front of me when I'm on 2 wheels and it's peeing down with rain.....well that goes way beyond just pissing me off.

Anyway, it was a "generalisation" (same generalisation that says Volvo drivers only have one brain between the lot of them).
Doesn't mean it applies to every single last one.

25 years ago, incidents such as that would result in the offender being done and the victim coming away with some small sense of satisfaction that justice has prevailed.

These days however, summary justice works much better.

Out of all the "stereotyped" drivers, Class 1's have never been the butt of a joke (with the exception of killing prostitutes of course).

Before people take there driving test they should be made to drive with an artic just to see what probs we have to deal with everyday, driving a truck may seem easy to a lot of people, but belive me i've been a class 1 driver for the last 18 years and have many millions of miles under my belt and its not as easy as they think.
Yes there are a lot of idiots out there, and because of them we all get hit with that same old brush time after time.

So thats my little rant , now i'm having a beer. (at home)

25 years ago maybe.
These days though, the idiot is constantly let off....while the otherwise law abiding driver gets cricified and vilified because he (or she) dared to do 34mph in a 30 zone.

I know exactly how much work is involved in keeping 58ft of metal that weights in at 44 ton under control, while keeping the harmonics sweet on that 16 speed box.

I wasn't having a pop....but you gotta admit...the prostitute joke was funny  ;D

Parking cars near corners on small industrial estates, trying to squeeze past you on roundabouts that lead into a dual carriageway where they can shoot off.
     So many car drivers only allow room for another car & can't grasp the concept of bigger vehicles needing more room & moan that they get carved up by a truck. Without us all the shops would be empty, you could'nt fill your car up, your electrc & gas would go off.........
   Be careful what you wish for!!! ::)

No, I dont. ::)

Truck drivers are not restricted to that pastime.  Many white van drivers, plumbers, joiners, brickies et al would be there or thereabouts, methinks...  :y
