I think all the time we eat meat it his hypocritical of us to criticise what others enjoy as food elsewhere in the world.
We eat cattle, sheep, pig, horse, poultry of all descriptions, rabbit, deer, now even zebra, kangaroo, crocodile, etc, etc, so what is different about dog once you take the emotional aspect out of the equation. I would not choose to eat dog myself, and I do appreciate them as a wonderful age old pet pet for man, but why should I criticize somebody in the wilds of some distant land eating them if that is the only meat food source?
Our western morals and niceties may rule that choice out, but do not forget that humans when near to starvation have been known to eat the bodies of fellow dead humans in modern times.
I know I will upset most pet lovers with this analysis, but I do not condone hypocrisy. When we all stop eating meat, then we can draw the moral conclusion that no-one else should eat meat, let alone dog
