Customer service.....
« on: 17 August 2009, 22:42:50 »

Before my debate with the Tv licence people on friday i went to my local tyre dealer to get 2 new front tyres for the BMW....Qued up and waited my turn only to be told i had the wrong size locking wheel nut!!!! Oh great i had nopt checked these as i just saw the full bmw tool kit and went Whoo Hoo..... :D 1 phone call later i`m at the Benham BMW dealership in Wolvo and the parts bloke went above and beyond to bring out all the e34 locking wheel nuts adaptors they had and find the correct one which he did in the first few attempts...He then went round the car taking em off and replacing em with normal bolts till the new adaptor would arrive on sat morning  :) and he did not charge for taking the locking nuts off or for the replacments he only charged £3.74 for the adaptor!!! so when i picked it up today i went in and asked to speak to his gaffer and gave him a  :y :y :y for which i  was thanked for and i even booked a test ride on 1 of the new BMW f800 sports bikes as they do look rather good and i quite fancy 1 of em when the house sale goes through....Goes to show dont it that their are some good people out there :) :) :)

Agreed.

We are all too willing to jump on those who do us badly but we are less than willing to praise good work.

Well done, says I...   :y

Its nice to hear about good customer service and fair pricing.

We are all too quick to moan about bad things and very rarely take the time to compliment or reward the good.

Good stuff Bertie! :y

Sorry, Bert! ::) ;)

On the subject of good customer service......I took my lads TV back to currys on Monday, the DVD player had broken. It was four days short of the 12 month guarantee expiring. The young gent on the service counter told me to choose another TV from the store. I found one on offer, £50 off, making it cheaper than the one I returned by £30.
I said I wasn't worried about the cash difference but he insisted and gave me a £30 gift card.
