I know more about the role, and its shift work, which initially put me off, but actually turns out to be good. There are 2 shifts, a morning one 8AM-6PM and evening one, 12PM-10. Good part is that i will always be traveling outside rush hour, which is good as the job is just off Jc2 of the M4.

Its also 3 days on, 3 days off, so working it out, i will only be working 16 days a month! 

They liked my strong mobile background, and said i have very strong chance.  They just have to see 1 more person to see.

Should hear back on Friday, then its time to haggle with that daily rate

I am thinking now.... i do currently like where i work but its rapidly going down hill.

1) 50% of Development was cut, rest is expected to go at some point
2) Its a smallish London office, and 2 other people are leaving i like working with, who are not being replaced.
3) My team leader who is leaving, and i am in line to replace, i won't get be getting his title.
4) On-call which adds a significant amount of money to my pay, the future does not look good for it, as we migrate to this new american system.

5) Biggest thing is this new platform we are migrating too, its all designed and built in the states, and commnication with them is frustrating, the platform is shite, its slow, and is a 3 year step back from what we have now 

6) I currently work in mobile subscriptions, which is basically connin chavs out of their drug money. There is not a great future in mobile ringtone subscriptions.

Well, at least you haven't got a house and a family to worry about so you can chop and change a bit now. But if you're going to progress you'll have to stick it out somewhere, good times and bad.

I was thinking about that, i would need to swap it for a Fazer i think.

The MT is a naked bike, and its hard work doing 80 all day long. Its a single cylinder 660cc, so great thumper for twisty roads, but not ideal for motorways.

Although it would reduce my costs, but being self employed i can claim for petrol anyway, so not sure if i would save that much  :-/

Well, at least you haven't got a house and a family to worry about so you can chop and change a bit now. But if you're going to progress you'll have to stick it out somewhere, good times and bad.

Thats my thinking as well, i have no dependancies. No mortgage, no loans, so i think its worth a punt to boost my skills and CV, plus make some good cash

Nah,get a proper bike mate,youve got a few miles under your belt now,you should be hankering after something with more BHP,s than kilos.

Nah,get a proper bike mate,youve got a few miles under your belt now,you should be hankering after something with more BHP,s than kilos.

I was thinking 600/1000cc Fazer, i like the looks of the new shape ones.

I do like the BMW GS 1200 Adventure's but they are a bit pricey (no surprise there)

The fazer1000 is a nice bike tbh.The 600 has very little grunt,worse than Daz,s Fizzy.

Don't jump until you're pushed ,you might get a fair few quid in a redundancy package ? can you work out how much you would be entitled to ?
