amphibious range rover
« on: 27 August 2009, 21:11:31 »

I think this was a little more off road than he intended.

At one point it was totally submerged with a buoy so boats didnt crash into it.I wonder if this is fixable?

I'm a member of a boat angling club and we use tracters to traverse the sands to launch our boats, you'd be suprised how many idiots think that because they drive 4WD vehicals they can go anywhere. you probably wouldn't be suprised how many we have pulled out of the treacherous shifting sands of the north west coast. Some are lucky and we manage to get them out before the tide covers them, some not so lucky and it's bye bye 4x4

That was exactly the story Tony.He was unlucky cos the tide turned at the exact moment he got bogged in the sand, and so when the tractor got there it was already too late. So the tractor came back a few hours later .And so did the crowd of onlookers.
Made a great day for those of us who got to watch it reemerge.

A few year ago a guy in a brand new Frontera got it stuck at on a big tide within minutes the water was half way up his doors the funny thing was that as the water got higher it must have shorted out the rear wiper and it started to work it was if the car was waving (no pun intended) goodbye ::)
