There are always two sides to any story and with the environmental debate it is no exception. Both sides hold passionate views which cannot be forgotten when seeing this film when released.
However, for me personally, the views expressed by the film makers in this interview support my argument about global warming 'hype' and how we are about to throw the baby out with the bath water!! As the title suggests the Al Gore argument is not evil, it is just wrong when you study the evidence available.
The interview was highly interesting and I noted the comments made on Rachel Carson whose book
Silent Spring (1962) I have read extracts from at uni, but now she is being discredited and blamed for causing 40 million deaths. I loved the references to Africa and the nonsense about the 'benefits' of a 'natural' life living off only local resources. Who wants a life living in a mud hut with no electric, running water, all 21st century amenities, no medical care, drugs for cancer, TB, etc, and living off basic foods where life expectancy is around 45 years if you are lucky!

Al Gore wants to ban the use of fossil fuels; as asked rhetorically in the interview, who wants a life with half the electricity available needed. Overall just a great opening piece that has made me very keen to see the film when released!

Any film that brings strong counter arguments to the table must be a good thing. Great one for finding this gem Nick!!
We will have to watch the Conservatives over this subject if they gain power at the next elections, which I hope they do, but they do enjoy their 'green' credentials as well so I hope Cameron watches this film!!
