Just makes you wonder how much cheating and skullduggery goes on behind the scenes. :-/
I find it difficult to believe that this would all tke place without Alonso knowing anything about it. ;)
I presume that Briatore and Symons will have a lifetime ban from being involved in motorsport in thr future/ :-/
I wouldnt be surprised if Renault withdraw at the end of the season, their reputation has been seriously tarnished.

Always thought that Briatorie was a dodgy geezer but Pat Symonds should know better than to try and get away with something as low as that. Probably just as well they quit because they would have been kicked out the sport otherwise.

thats all the evidence you need - what a disgrace - they'd have been jailed for manslaughter if Piquet had died or killed a marshall or spectator >:(

when this story first came out - i couldn't believe anyone would deliberately crash or, even worse, ask someone to crash - i thought it was just sourgrapes on piquets part - seems he had a point all along  :(

it has been going on for years to a point. Speedway springs to mind last i looked, if a rider bins it, and is lying on the racing line, or even on the track, then the race is stopped. Thing is that rider can re start. So you can guess what any uninjured fallen rider does, he lays in the middle of the track rolling around  like his legs broke. Then re starts the race like nothing happened. Playing the rules.

Differant level i know, and also stating the obvious, but with f1s budget they have small armys of people all looking for every tiny advantage. No matter how small or illegal, theyll do it no matter, the real trick is getting away with it. Failed, fairness has bog all to do with it, too much money involved

If you bare your back side in that way, makes sense to be carefull with the people involved, not sack them publicly with a large dose of humiliation.

As i speak Eddie Jordan being interviewed. Renault themselves have been heavily involved in the issue and, having seen the evidence, seems the two have been, in effect, sacked. Although that exact word has not been mentioned. French driver i beleive, probably not impressed with Pique's treatment either. Bad management within the team.

As Jordan said, fair play to Renault.

seems The Team principle sacrificed himself for the sake of the team! What a hero!
