How bloody much?????
« on: 18 September 2009, 19:19:07 »

aaarrrggghhhhh!!!!! heard a weird noise under braking yesterday, got home and decided to whip the rear wheel off to check brakes etc, and guess what?
one handbrake return spring missing, so replaced that then something caught my eye ::) the dust out here has clogged up one of the rear caliper pistons, and worn one of the rear pads down to approx 1000th of an inch off the metal backing damn!!!
down to local copy of a kwick crap and price up the rear pads for an Opel Omega 2.5TD how much i said as i picked meself up off the floor!!! 57 EUROS!!!  thats around 50pounds at current exchange rate
delph(vauxhalls own) are just 12.90 from discount car parts!!!!

needless to say i havent bought them am searching ebay for someone who will send to spain!!!! :'( :'(

In Europe the price for parts is extreme expensive,
even in Germany they cost a lot,
We are very lucky here with the prices, its not till youve lived in europe that you get to know how cheap things are here in Gb.

I used to live in Germany, been back in the Uk for nearly three years now, we have achieved more in 3 years as we have in the 15 in germany, thats financially. we could only afford to buy cars that were a minimum of 15 years old and still have to pay over £1000 for them. now our cars are half that age and we dont even pay half of the price :y

Bbc reported, the scrapage scheme has made certain models rare and prices of second hand cars are going up here, they said. How realistic that is, no idea.
