Music Downloads
« on: 22 September 2009, 17:51:38 »

This might sound like a stupid question but does anyone use a legal site to download music?? ::) ::)

Can anyone recommend a site to use for legal downloads. I am more interested in downloading full albums but maybe the occasional single track. :y

I use Nokia music but I think its only compatible with their phones. :-/
I would add that if anyone is considering paying £300 for a Nokia 5800 with music phone,to have as a primary source of mobile music - dont. the quality of playback, even with decent headphones is pretty sh1te. ;)
good phone though imo.

I should add that I want to be able to burn the albums to a CD (though still in MP3 format) for use in the car.

McAfee site advisor doesn't like that site so not looking. Assume it to be illegal downloads though and I want to do it legally (ridiculous as that may sound to some people). :y

There are plenty out there if you want to pay.

Be aware that MP3 (even at 320kbps) doesn't meet the required standard for CD-DA (although it's highly unlikely you'll hear the difference on the average car stereo/home hi-fi).

Music downloads are well over priced - full album in FLAC for £3 and I will consider.

I would start a music server up here (2.2TB), but I suspect the link would be pulled before anyone got the chance to take advantage of the fact they would be dead of natural causes before they managed to listen to everything I have.
