Facelift - Black Euro headlight project
« on: 26 September 2009, 17:25:04 »

Well for those wondering, I have managed to save my Black Euro headlight project.

Thanks to those that helped & gave advice, I flatted down the surface, heated the area up, and then laid some more paint.  And seems to have done the trick.

So thanks to those who made some suggestions.

However, the sorry story isn't over yet, because what you can't see in the photos too clearly is that a lot of the chrome as come off with the masking tape, seems that there was only a smidgen of a layer of chrome plate  >:( .  However, all isn't lost as Welung has made a suggestion, which will solve the problem.

Anyhow, here's Phase-2 if you like of how things are going ???????

Mind you at this rate with doing this, and other projects, and working on my other toy, who knows when I'll get them on the car...... probably just before I sell it  ;D  ;D

Well haven't got it yet chap.

Mind you, all I know is that the postal workers are not a happy bunch (again !), and I honestly can't remember why this time... perhaps the same old thing....

Let you know when I get the stuff though thanks.  :y
