Is the Lisbon Treaty treason?
« on: 24 September 2009, 23:57:59 »

This is fascinating. Could the signing away our powers to the EU really be treason?

Read and ponder!

For you there, not being able to vote on it is not only treason IMO but complete fascism.

I reckon its going to be another no vote here again. I dont know anyone voting yes.

The attitude changed after the same situation with the Nice treaty. Although the EU are walking all over the governments. Will they ever stand up and not be pushed around  >:(

After a fair trail, then it should be off with their heads!! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

I have just been catching up on The Tudors, and anyone going against the wishes of the King would be immediately deemed as a traitor.  Now we have only a constitutional monarch, and the power (should) rest with the people of the realm.  The Lisbon Treaty is not in accordance with the wishes of the majority of the British people, and therefore such acts carried out by our representatives are unlawful, as they have exceeded their remit.  Therefore all signatories of the Lisbon Treaty have committed treason against the people of Great Britain and Queen Elizabeth the Second and should be brought to trail.

Who of our politicians can rise to the challenge and carryout the prosecution required against those who have acted against the people and the Crown?   That, as far as I can see, is the obstacle.

i'm with Tony Benn on this one - we cannot stand idly by and let a body who we cannot remove from power deciding our laws - it goes against every principle of freedom

I disagree with many of Tony Benn's general political views, but I have to say that he has my highest regard as a parliamentarian. I only wish that he would speak out more against our loss of freedom.

Funny really that an outspoken elder politician which a lot of us disagree with, we regard so highly.

Personally well done to him on Concorde pushing.

Of course its bl**dy Treason! The soddin' Germans tried twice by force of arms to conquer Europe, only being stopped each time by the Americans throwing their two pennworth in (when it suited them) and tipping the balance in the Allies favour . This time around they're doing it by the back door, fooling the stupid bl**dy French into thinking they are the leading player in a 'Federal Europe'. Ted Heath should have been hung drawn and quartered, and so should   every other  5th Columnist who has led us by the nose since then. Free trade with the rest of Europe? YES, a unified defence strategy? MAYBE; Britain being run by Europe (the Germans) as an offshore Federal Territory? NEVER!  >:(

i think you'll find it was the then Soviet Union who turned the tide - accounting for 90% of all Nazis killed in WW2, and sacrificing millions in the effort  :(

then again, the yanks made some great war movies..... ::) so who do you believe?  ;)

That is an interesting percentage you have raised there BJ.  Can you tell me where this information is from as I have yet to come across it.

As a matter of interest BJ, total German military dead or missing for the war run to about 4.2 million, with another 493,000 estimated civilians killed in Germany, many of them due to the Allied (British & American) bomber offensive.

The USSR lost 27 million lives mainly during the duration of BARBAROSSA from 22nd June 1941 and the Soviet armies drive into Berlin, that incidently cost more Red Army lives than the total American losses for the whole war!!!! :'( :'( :'(
