Outlook Express, Help!
« on: 28 September 2009, 21:49:15 »

Evening All

Now this is probably nout to worry about but i've promised my mother in law I would find the answer to a question that I don't know the answer to :-?

She has Virgin Dial Up Internet, yes I did say dial up. She uses Outlook for her emails. Now for some reason at 5.58am a couple of days go her husband sent an email to himself, from himself, which he originally sent way back in 2007. Thing is, he was tucked up in bed at the time, fast asleep.

She hates computers, would never buy anything with them because she doesn't trust them, and has dial up because the thought of someone hacking into her computer scares her. Its a necassary evil to her.

Thing is, I cant explain it :-[ Im no expert on computers myself but I know the basics. I have never come across this before. I've had spam sent to my email address from my email address but i've never come across a 2 year old message sending itself to itself. (By the way, it was recieved by the original recipient 2 years ago, its not like its sat there trying to deliver itself and failed)

I've fobbed her off telling her it must be a glitch, but has anyone come across this type of thing before??

Thanks as ever people.
