You've obviously never seen inside a trailer full of parcels when it arrives at a depot mate.

Is it as bad as we tend to think it is?   :-/ :-/

Probably worse in some cases.

Here's a few pics from one delivery we complained about.
Sorry about the crappy phone cam pics.
Note the 20Kg parcel thrown on the top of the pile.

Sent him this query You paid 83 quid for it with the headgasket gone. Am I correct in assuming you have had the head gasket replaced and it just now requires a radiator. Thanks,
This is his reply.

I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE 83 QUID FIGURE YOUR ON ABOUT CAME FROM. i PAID A LOT MORE THAN THAT FOR IT, AND THE HEAD GASKET PROBLEM, HAS ONLY JUST STARTED. You couldn't tell from driving it before the car was parked up, even with the radiator problem. IT DIDN'T MISFIRE, OR KICK OUT STEAMY SMOKE FROM THE EXHAUST, OR ANYTHING. IT WAS ONLY WHEN MY FRIEND AT THE GARAGE LOOKED AT IT, TO PRICE IT FOR A RADIATOR, WAS THE PROBLEM DISCOVERED. WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR, THE OIL COLOUR WAS FINE, SO THIS HAS ONLY HAPPENED WITHIN THE LAST FEW WEEKS, AND ITS BEEN PARKED UP, WITH THE RAD OUT, FOR MOST OF THAT.
THE GASKET, AND RAD PROBLEM, NO RADIO, AND A COUPLE OF TYRES, ARE THE ONLY PROBLEMS, THAT I AM AWARE OF, EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL ON THIS CAR WORKS, AND THE FRONT HEADLIGHTS WERE NEWLY INSTALLED, BY THE LAST OWNER.

Personally think that is a bit strong, I have spoken to the guy several times on the phone and he seems nothing of the sort.
I have no problems at all with the bloke, but annoyed with the parcel delivery.

I have been communicating with the bloke today. He seems like a really nice bloke tbh.
He had no complaints about Daz,and I think  from reading the listing again he might think he has got HG trouble because of the mayo in the filler neck.

But if you look at his history, he bought the car for £83 which he denies and it allready had HG problems.  Buyer beware.

Anyhoo, I was just pointing out that Xenon and HID are not the same.

High Intensity Discharge (HID) whereby a very high voltage is needed to create an arc that ignites the burners (bulbs) which are filled with Xenon gas.

As far as I'm aware, HID and Xenon mean the same thing - so what is the difference?

HID Conversion Kit:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HID-XENON-CONVERSION-KIT-slim-ballast-9006-35W-6000K_W0QQitemZ220488630389QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3356258075&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Xenon Bulbs:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2x-H1-Xenon-Super-White-Car-Headlight-Light-Bulb-Lamp_W0QQitemZ350258755815QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item518d0c78e7&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

A more accurate description would be "Xenon look":
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OSRAM-H1-COOL-BLUE-HEADLIGHT-BULBS-COOL-XENON-LOOK_W0QQitemZ120383365110QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item1c07685ff6&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Big difference between proper HID set up and just Xenon bulbs

hi omega knight, firstly, sorry if the ad read like i was implying the radiator was sold to me as deliberately broke, by a forum member....
PLEASE LET ME CLARIFY THAT THIS IS NOT THE CASE, and the person that sold me the radiator, offered me an immediate refund, or replace it for me, as soon as he had one.
I DECLINED HIS OFFER, AS WHEN I PHONED HIM, TO TELL HIM HOW IT HAD ARRIVED, WITH A HAIRLINE CRACK ACROSS THE TOP HOSE CONNECTION..... ON FURTHER EXAMINATION, IT WAS OBVIOUS, THAT THE DAMAGE MUST HAVE BEEN CAUSED DURING THE DELIVERY HANDLING PROCESS. THE DAMAGE WAS CLEAN, WITH NO CRAP IN IT, AND THE SELLER HAD GONE TO THE TROUBLE TO CLEAN IT ALL OUT, AND FLUSH IT, BUT THERE WAS NO RESIDUE, OR MUCK IN THE CRACK OR ANYWHERE NEAR THE DAMAGED AREA. SO I DIDN'T THINK IT FAIR TO CLAIM A REFUND, AS HE HAD DEFINITELY PROVIDED, WHAT I NOW KNOW, TO BE A VERY FAIRLY PRICED, GENUINE PART.
I'M NOT GOING TO BLAME SOMEONE, FOR DAMAGE, THAT I'M SURE, THEY WEREN'T RESPONSIBLE FOR.
To the sellers credit...he still offered to source a replacement free of charge, even after i told him, that i didn't beleive the damage was caused by, or known to him.
he sincerely was trying to help me out of a spot, and i can tell, just by reading alot of the styff on here, that this is a site, with a lot of good, helpfull, honest, and knowledgeable owners.
i'd happily buy from this site, and certainly everyone, i've had stuff before from, and especially, the seller, that sold me the radiator. i've spoken to him recently, and there's no problems between us, and everythings still sound.
if it wasn't for the silly bloke, that sent me that batch of sarcastic emails, claiming he was off here, this whole thing, would have been put to bed, with out notice.
in my haste to advertise the car that night. you'll see it was late, when it was posted, i didn't think, that mentioning the site, was going to cast any negative aspertions at all, as i only mentioned, where the rad came from. everyone that phoned about the car, or messaged me, was told exactly what i've said here. but i understand and appreciate your concern, and I appologise, if the ad offended anyone.
this is a great site, with a good bunch of people on it.
i hope this will fade into nothing, and hope that in time, the site will realise, that i am realy quite genuine...but i will certainly choose the contents of any future ads more carefully.
i hope this clears things up.
i left a message aimed at the sarcastic seller, in case he realy was from this site, all my contact info's in it, to give him the chance to either explain himself, or apologise....but i've not heard zip..!
so now...I realy don't beleive he was off here. i think my car, happened to be an omega...he'd obviusly seen the site mentioned somewhere on the internet, ....
and decided, to fill his time winging about nothing. he needs therapy..!
so i hope this clears things up... :-[
