« on: 09 October 2009, 15:26:35 »

My finger just slipped, honest! Is going to be my excuse to the gaffa when I get home!  :-[

I just couldn't help it, I have to have it, I am such a sucker for new Tech.

It does look awsome though, 4.3 Inch screen on a phone!!  :D :D :D :D

Old HD will have to go on ebay soon.  :'(

HTC always make good handsets, nice big screen too. Shame it runs windows  :(

Whilst Windows is ahead in terms of Exchange, Apps and connectivity to XP/Vista, its lagging way behind in terms of touch screen use & input.

Which is why many handset makers put on their own interface over the top, such as touch-flo and xpanels.

Lets face it, Android isn't exactly the most intuitive interface either ;) - the standard windows interface is easy for everyone, because its, err, Windows. And everyone can use Windows. Its just its not ideal for 1 thumb operation

Its not as good as windows in that terms, but at least 1 thumb is all you need!

Set up right, Windows can be reasonably thumb controlled, but falls down badly on the more complex apps/settings.

Additionally, HTC have made some really bad hardware design decisions on everything released in last 2 years or so  >:(

I missed all the banter as I have been away for the weekend. I have a love/hate relationship with windows mobile, I love the fact that you are not restricted like the iPhone, customisation is the key. The hate part is Microsoft just don't seem to be getting it together to make their software more user/finger friendly, WM6.5 is better but not perfect. Looking forward to WM7.

Another reason for sticking with WM is I already have allot of purchased software for it like Copilot etc.

Roll on next month!!  :y
