Did you fit the washers as well? - From your photos i can't see them, so do you notice much loss in light on a long motorway run when the lens gets dirty?

I think HID is the route too, but at a tenner its worth a go for these first.

Never driven a non-HID Omega but Mrs. KW's MX5 and my Westfield both have really sh1te headlights and, TBH, I don't find the Omega significantly better. Is it worth the hassle of retro-fitting them?

I find the projectors fine in country lanes, the light output is good. Where it seems pathetic is on the motorway, its like having 2 candles sometimes. Although i did notice the amount of road i could see did depend on the type of tarmac  :-?

Some sections i could see sod all output, others the light seemed to be better! Very odd.

But once the clocks go back, i will only be driving in night, so it could be a worth while mod.

The problem with HIDs, IMHO, is that the dipped beam cutoff is set quite low (on my car, anyway, perhaps it's in need of a tweak) and there is no light leakage above the beam cutoff whereas with a conventional headlight you do get some illumination above the beam cutoff. IYSWIM

So, you can see great for about 10m in front of the car and then nothing. Or perhaps I'm driving too fast?

Totally agree.

I used to get pi$$ed off when Audi TT's lights used to light the road up further than my GLS with projectors fitted.

Then when I got the Elite the TT's lights still shine further on the road.

The beam pattern is perfect, just doesnt light up enough distance.

my old omega (select, even worse than GLS, and one of the first ones) has extremely poor lights, i was considering 'upgrading' to projector.
by comparison current lights are awesome, and i mostly in dark doing night shift so tis quite usefull.

No washers, but I also haven't done any long nighttime trips

Nightbreakers (Main Beam) do seem do give the impression of a brighter light over the OEM bulbs, they also seem to have a better colour match to the standard 4300K HID dipped beam.

Had them in my last Omega and been meaning to fit a set to this one, when is payday again?

mine 6K , dont have washers but never feel the need to stop the car and clean them in a rainy night..

and I must note that on the return of summer vacation we passed through a real storm with miggy and even if I feel the need to clean them it was impossible to go outside
