At school there were sisters called April and Cherry Pink.

Plus Andrew and Paul Bates who were often refered to as as Master Bates" if naughty in class by thier teachers.

I have a friend whose name is Cher...and lived in an area of Neath called Fairyland.
http://www.neath-porttalbot.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=1084

She was walking home one evening and had a bit of a problem explaining this to a police officer that was new to the area. Fair doos to him, he'd only asked if she was okay walking alone late at night.
