After our money - again
« on: 22 October 2009, 20:58:26 »

I know that these government petitions can be a waste of space but no action means apathy rules ok!!  You should look at this link

 http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=20842

The Government are after our money again even if we are found not guilty.

If you feel strongly about this wonderful piece of proposed legislation
go to the petition and sign it, then pass the link on to all your like minded friends.

Almost 2 million signed the road pricing petition, and the government still openly admitted they had no intention of taking any notice....so why should this be any different?

Simple fact is, it's gonna take a tad more than some bull*hit petition to get those in power to take notice.
The only problem with that is, anyone who does have the gonads for it has already been nicked & imprisoned for putting their bin out on the wrong day.

Although I have already signed it, I believe the Pistonheads site is a little economical with the truth. I believe that is actually being proposed is that you will only have costs paid upto what you would recieve if Legal Aid was paying for you ie you can't hire somebody like Nick Loophole on £££££££££££'s an hour & then expect the tax man to pick up his bill.  ;)

The likes of Nick Freeman don't do legal aid, but assuming they did.....why shouldn't you have the best team you can find?

If the state wants your ass in court, then it's only right & proper they do the job correctly to start with.

If found not guilty, that would mean the driver has been wrongly accused, so what's to stop a private prosecution being brought against the officer for any loss/costs incurred as a result of the officers actions ?

I have reservations about this, if myself or the average person is nicked for speeding then 99.9% gauranteed we where speeding.

I suspect this will only serve those in a position to fight the case in the first place, crooked MP's and the like.

So I have decided not to support this one I am afraid.
If I am wrong please fell free to point out where I have gone wrong, politly please.
