Spied my first badger tonight
« on: 26 October 2009, 18:56:11 »

There's a few badger sets not too far from me & tonight armed with my home made NV i went for an early evening walk with Mutley. Because it's home made & it's made from bits that i had saved over the years, it's taken some fine tuning, but we're getting there.
I watched the horses wandering around for a while in the almost darkness & by the time i got the the set it was dark. I could make one out over the river in the other field & it was quite a distance away (around 200 metres). So one evening armed again & this time with some peanuts i'll be off again. I'll have to plant my bait, then find some where comfortable to sit & wait  :) :)

Ah, but these would have been DIGITALLY ALTERED hedgehogs Pete! an entirely different animal to the tiny cute flea ridden little things in the average back garden. They only show up on homemade IR nightsights, usually when the bits used to make them have no business being in the same County, much less the same casing LOL ;) ;D ;D ;D :y

Want to live here then.My house in on the side of a field and have a nightly supply of badgers, foxes, mice and a deer or two. It's bloody noisier around here at night than it is in the day. Plus a woman down the road has 2 tame wolves and god do they howl.Nice wolves though she takes them to the local boot sale every Sunday.Bloody big things
