Just had a phone call from a company offering me an extended warranty on my mig.  Anybody heard or used this company before.  Be interesting to see if they would pay out if the dreaded thrust washer went on the gearbox.  There web site offers quite good protection, but I'm a sceptical person when it comes to parting with money unecessarily, especially on a 9 year old car - would it be oh we can't pay out for that it's genereal wear and tear. 

If you or someone you know has used them please let me know whether it's a worthwhile insurance or just another get rich quick scheme for some unscrupulous mafia boss.

That`s the get out phrase for the majority of ins. companies whether it be car, home or whatever

If your car is about to devlope an exspensive fault then take a policy out to cover it.

Not sure if you are aware but the car trade policies/warranties that you pay extra for when you purchase a second hand car are probaly the same sort of thimg.

Seller does the deal with you.
Tells you of the extra policy.
You part with your money.
He pockets your money.

Unfortuneately your car developes a major fault.
Phone dealer he offers to come and pick up your car 2 days later and set you up with a loaner.
Mean time he hurridly sets the paperwork in morion and sets up the policy to make the claim.

Customer happy
His good name doesnt get ruined
No earner for dealer this time.
But good word of mouth.

Not worth the paper they are printed on I had a 6 month AA 5 star warranty on my Mig Power sounder went ,not covered, crank sensor went, not covered I vented my feelings to the AA and still await an answer. So unless you really need it don't bother, because it won't be covered unless the engine blows up.
