3.2 'Elites' in police spec would have been cloth interior.  If its now masquerading as a civvy car, check for a calibrated speedo and extra holes in the dash and/or boot where extra kit would have been fitted in Police use....
No calibrated speedo goes up to 160 MPH  :y Also has the built in Sat-Nav etc, just no leather.

Beg to differ....

Who cares what the speedo is calibrated to?

Simple fact is it ain't gonna make a REAL LIFE 150mph, even if you drove it straight off Beachy Head.

No one cares, to be honest.  Its whether its got a calibrated speedo or not thats in question as a means to give at least some indication as to whether its ex police or not.

Just a few nits being picked, as is often the want on here by some.....   ;)

Just re-read my post H21 and it read as if no speedo which is calibrated will go up to 160 was meant to have a , after meaning that car didn't have a calibrated speedo as it goes up to 160 mph and its a facelift, that'll teach me to forget grammar  :y

The buyer will care a great deal, as it would be police spec, rather than retail.

What I meant was, if the speedo was calibrated in 1mph increments (meaning it's ex filth), it won't make any odds whether it's 150 or 160 FSD....it ain't gonna make a REAL 150 anyway.

Same applies if it isn't ex filth, it ain't reaching 150 in the real world unless it's been tweaked.

It don't matter anyway, because the only place you can safely reach those sort of speeds is the racetrack....and most people buy a MIG to use daily on the public highway.

Even less so if its plod, as their diffs (as i under stand it) where not standard ratio, they were shorter to allow better acceleration, at the cost of top end speed.

I reckon a healthy 3.0/3.2 could reach 150mph given enough room & under suitable conditions. I've never had the Beastie higher than 130 ish but there was plenty left. No need as so many posts here in the past & on youtube show 150ish attainable so i don't risk it. Given no such posts are made for the 2.5 i did let my old CD manual go full trot once & got an indicated 145 on a flat before i backed off due to her feeling a little light given the high profile tyres & soft suspension. She'd stopped pulling hard but was still creeping up. I accept these are indicated speeds but it gives an idea of the top whack a good 6 can achieve. Traffic police used them a while back....B!!!
Regarding the Elite seats i could'nt say for sure but i agree with the comment an Elite might have been specced from new with cloth. The above CD was specced with leather so it could be down to the first ownwers tastes.
