My AntiVirus is going mad when on OOF?
« on: 07 November 2009, 20:05:31 »

As above, just started doing it, pops up every 10 seconds

HTML/Crypted.Gen - Malware, Type: Trojan

Description:
To avoid detection by antivirus software, authors of HTML malware use browser features like Java and VisualBasic Script. These scripts are small and very often quite simple encryption routines hiding the malicious parts of the script. Encrypted malware is detected as HTML/Crypted.Gen.

Any ideas why?

Avira, with sometimes McAfee 8.5 in the back ground.

Normally run CC once a week, and clean Temps before any Defrags, tried it though no difference (disabled Avira at the mo).

Running with Avira back on now, no AV alerts but getting these on about 10% of reading posts:

IE freeze: <script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript" src="http://images.omegaowners.com/forum/yabbfiles240/YaBB.

You get the same js on every page you read (and a different one on every page you post)
