Forecast for tonight:

"There is the chance that some snow could fall over the higher ground of the Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia and the Peak District for the first time this season."

thats not cold.... try Chicago in December, thats cold! -8 ambient, with a -32 wind chill. Its not called the windy city for nothing!

Got back to the UK it was +1, walked into town in a t-shirt. Got some odd looks, more than usual!  ;D

With the imminent.....impending progress of Global warming.........It is likely that ....snowy winters .........could well become a thing of the past... ::) ::) ;)
Let us all hope for some constructive action at the forthcoming Copenhagen Climate Conference::) ::) ;)

ive been playing golf up on top of mount horsenden hill today. was nice and sunny but the wind up top of the hill was bitter cold. as i thrashed the other 2 i dont care  :) :)

The windy city name comes from the reputation of the politicians being very vocal and nothing to do with the weather.

But yes it gets cold there.  I am 4 hours north of Chicago right now and its -6 but thankfully no wind.

Could have been a combination, times i have been there its been damn windy. But good to know its true origin!  :y
