No more please
« on: 27 November 2009, 18:02:52 »

If anyone has any good luck please send it my way. These past few months have been a living hell. Work has completely done me over landing me in a position that is two steps back down the career path. So much for moving onto the project will be an advancement :/ House bills and stuff breaking, failing health, car bills and bits breaking, mates kicking off, parents having a rough time and their failing health. To top it all I get back to the Omega today and there is a constant buzzing alarm which I think is due to the rain soaking part of the lpg laptop connector and shorting it :( I bloody love that car, it's the first proper big motor I've had.

It's too dark to have a proper look but I saw the connector right at the edge of the pool of water :( Pulled it out but I fear the damage is done. I'll pull the battery in the morning to see if it resets properly but I am gutted.

The plus side is I suppose the car still runs and I got home ok. I'll have a proper look at the car in the morning first in the light, just having a vent. Hope everyone else is doing better.

I was - until yesterday, payday.
First monthly paid job for a long long time, "paid monthly in arrears" on the contract, so I assumed work November, get paid end of November plus the two weeks for October, but it didn't work like that.
I started 17th October, so yesterday, got two weeks' wages to last me the next four.

Christmas?

What bloody Christmas! :-/

I love the job (well, did), I worked there for 6 months up until last January on contract (weekly paid then), so was chuffed when they asked me back on the books this time - and all was kushty until I got my payslip. :'(

Well if were going for who's got the worst luck i'd like a stab at it.

Lost my house last November, lost my job in April, trying to start out on my own but have only had 19 days work since then. Eldest informed us his girlfriend was pregnant, oh and her foster mum was kicking her out so she had to move in with us (niether have a bloody job), which now makes 9 people in my house, trying to go bankrupt but noone will make me and I can't afford the £500 I need to do it. 6 armed thugs smashed down my neighbours back door last week to steal the drugs they brazenly sell, then came back later that night and repeated it, wife is understandably wanting to move, can't afford to as we have such a bad credit rating that no letting agent will touch us. Dog died a couple of months ago. Arguing with my wife on an almost daily basis and have got to the stage that when we're alone together we barely speak. Been prescribed Diazapan for sleep and some other anti depressent for daytime to go along with my high blood pressure tablets. Wake up every morning dreading what the world holds in store for me that day. I think my bluetooth name on my phone says it all, 'wasteaspace'!!!!

two weeks ago i broke down 140 miles from home,g/box had blown out all the atf, mobile battery died phoning recovery service, sat for over an hour in the middle of nowhere, luckily [yup a bit of luck] somebody stopped & let me use their mobile, recovery couldnt find me for ages, heating in the recovery truck didnt work so i froze, got car home & dropped the g/box & found torque converter chewed up, as yet i still havent found a torque converter & im without a car, might have to get the t/c reconditioned by jpat if i can raise some money,  i thought i was the only one with bad luck, perhaps we should start a club ;) lets hope it changes for everybody :y

oh lordy looks like its a year for omega owners......
jan- the mother in law found out she has breast cancer and has a lump taken out.
feb- my missus's pmt was dire so after a trip to the docs was diagnosed with a high chemical imbalance an had to be put on a course of tablets.
march- the missus's nan was rushed into hospital with severe dehydration and was dripped to buggery to get her back up.
april- i severed a tendon in work and and to have an op.
may-the missus's tablets didnt work so she had to have a minor op.
june- told no pay rise this year-- tough but please work harder.....
july-new neighbours started selling drugs with visitors all hours....
aug-heard 2 engineers leaving so my patch getting bigger.
sept-birthday was a washout after hearing mother in laws cancer had taken over the other breast, which had to be removed, the missus had to move in with her until she recovered.
oct-had a massive row with the missus and split up for a week until we decided we cannot do without each other. work crap. customer complaint from a miserable lying tw&t who was after some compensation at someones expense.
nov- cannot get any cheap car insurance anywhere, laptop slowed down to a crawl, scummers buzzing my number for an eighth, a tenners worth, an ounce or something stronger. and the 0% on my credit card ends.
dec- ??????? :P?

Its been a pretty crap year for me, had open heart surgery June 24th to replace a valve and remove an aneurysm on my aorta, been off work ever since, now I have a mechanical valve and it feels and sounds like a have a small man in my chest with a hammer beating my chest 60+ times a minute, the beta blockers I'm on make me feel dizzy and I have no energy, plus I'm loosing over £1000 a month in wages, next year just has to be better  :D
