It took me best part of an hour to get the car out of the drive!

After rescuing the lad last night, I drove in forwards, not thinking that I would need the car today. Didn't think the wife would be daft enough to go to work without checking to see if the school was open. After 35 years, I really should have known better.

Omega 3.0 autos don't do backwards in snow. Lots of sideways, but no backwards. Lots of elbow grease, assistance from the neighbours, and a bag of sand eventually got me out. It didn't do the lad's hangover any good, but it was his fault anyway, so I've got no sympathy.
The car is absolutely fine going forwards - handles the snow, slush and ice as well as any car I've had.

Pity about backwards.

Now I'm going to have to go out with the shovel and broom and clear the common part of the drive so the neighbours can get out over all the churned up slush which will undoubtedly turn to ice.

Still, I suppose the exercise will do me good.
