Yes, the aux belt does run the water pump and a very good point!

Yes, the aux belt does run the water pump and a very good point!


By the time I had got car home the temp was starting to creep up.  When I drove onto the drive the power steering was back, it would seem the belt was intermitently driving the pulleys, I think that's why I got away with it

Does anyone know the correct size of the aux belt for a 97 2.5 with A/C?  Dealers lost my ordered one, but found me a replacement but had a different part number.  Fitted OK, but old belt was so worn that i was unable to read the belt code.  Just worried that it is 10mm too short and excessively straining the tensioner etc.
