Can you send someone over to climb out of my bathroom window and dust the snow off my dish please, Tunnie? Mrs. KW is having withdrawal symptoms. ::)

Can we nominate Sanjay for Saddo of the Year (not sharing mince pies and clementines etc - although in fairness he could of course just be the guardian of them)and combine two current threads on this forum.

The champagne is kicking in now.

No problem. It appears to have melted now.

Anyway, when it was installed I was informed that they didn't "do lofts" so I'm guessing a flat lead roof 2 storeys up with black ice on it would have been problematic. ::)

Very true, however you'd think your paymasters would have realised by now that the + boxes they provide are nothing short of shit....and that replacing them for something that actually works (as well as providing slightly more features than what could be expected from a 30 year old VCR) would be a lot more beneficial to them in the long run.

Box production and design was always outsourced, but due to the issues, production has been brought in house in the last 6 months

I was just hoping to avoid the gibbon running 50 metres of CT100  round 3 sides of the house (with the nails into the damp course, of course, because it's easier than brick).

I the end it was a win-win. I got to connect the dish properly to the existing downlead whilst risking certain death in my loft, and he got to sit in his van in the layby up to road eating a kebab and smoking B&Hs. :y

I guess all the R&D guys have to learn now is that HDD's bigger than 160GB (thats 160GB available to the end user) exist, and to enable all the features that 3rd party boxes have had as standard for years (such as USB & network).

Soon as the warranty is up on mine I am upgrading to biggest HD that will fit.  Unless I get a spare box and sort that instead.
